I composed some funky environmental theme songs for the national
Bicycle Lobby. I wrote 2 songs about the quality of walking and
riding bikes as opposed to driving. Check it out at
http://www.saferoutespartnership.org/mediacenter/221176,
I am presently in booking mode. If you have ideas for concerts in
the US or Europe please let me know. I perform with my band and
solo acoustic and live electronic sets.
Some of you may know that my step father Hugo Pinell is one of the
longest held political prisoners in the United States. He was
just unjustly denied parol from Pelican Bay prison for another 15
years (a death sentence)! If you would like to find out more about
this great injustice please visit http://www.hugopinell.org/
In the past 3 weeks I have recorded 40 songs. Most of these are
acoustic tunes that I wrote in depths of difficult life
experience. So much pain and expansion has been happening in my
heart that these deep songs finally had to be released. I feel
that this is some of my most true and medicinal work. Not all of
it is funky. All of it is very real and vulnerable. I will
release this album at the beginning of summer. It will be
different from the “All People” album in that it is very roots and
stripped down production wise. All of the songs are much more
personal as well. I have also been hard at work on the long
overdue big band album. This is now looking to be a double album
half band and half of live electronica dance compositions. Please
be ready to receive this work in summer.I hope you are and your
people are doing great! Thanks for all your support, enjoy the
sun.
