People Care
by blanelyon on Mar.10, 2009, under Lyrics+Poetry, Political Soul
This one’s going out to all the people,
who feel alone,
For every child who never had a home, who was forced to roam or who slept alone
4 everyone who took a bench 4 a bed with a box 4 a blanket & the street underhead
4 anyone who was forced 2 run
who had 2 leave the country
& now lives in the slums
who watch their backs
& live in fear of guns
& trying 2 find shelter before the winter comes
4 those who don’t know where 2 sleep
so they walk the streets with no food 2 eat
4 those who never knew their father
living in the ghetto
drinking unclean water
for anyone who ever played
who had their dreams waylaid
or who felt betrayed
4 everyone who stops & listens 2 a vision of hope in the worst conditions
who climb obstacles 2 fulfill the mission
who believes in themselves @ puts up resistance
Anytime U feel alone, anytime U’re worried , don’t fear
people care
2 My People that feel that they got nowhere to turn
2 the ones who feel old or the ones who feel burned
2 everyone who ever felt they had no choice
& those who’ve given up on using their own true voice
2 anyone heading down a dark road
put down your weapon
let yor heart reload
let your mind reload
let your life unfold
strong is bold and your beautiful
So here we go again , got 2 begin again , U R the teacher & U R the friend
of your future
U got 2 believe in yourself
U got 2 believe in yourself
find yourself in a situation
use your dreams
cut thru like, lazer beams
Anytime U feel alone , anytime U’r worried, don’t fear, cus People Care
Some people feel trapped and they are feeling the cold
that keeps us away, worried about their money jobs, going to work everyday
there comes a point when we all must say
I just can’t let things go on this way
U got to believe in yourself,U got to believe in yoursef
People be there 4 one and other, people care for each other,
shine down compassion on eachother
people pull together
The Dark Ages of Mankind
by blanelyon on Mar.10, 2009, under Lyrics+Poetry, Political Soul
In times of hatred, We gotta fill the world with love
When there seems 2 B so much fear, being pushed down on us from above
2 Much energy spent on fighting, not enough spent on righting
the wrongs that are going on
come on all my people help eachother B strong
We can’t go back, so let’s leave behind
the dark ages of Mankind
Strike straight thru the heart of hate
so we can get to the love that we have 4 one another
All people are your people
everyone is eachother
Violence ain’t never gonna solve, No kinds of problems
Violence ain’t never gonna solve, No kinds of problems
We can’t go back so let’s leave behind
The Dark Ages of Mankind
We’ve got to see that we are all,…. connected
fear will only divide us, It ain’t never gonna take us where we want to go
fear will only divide us , it ain’t never gonna take us where we need to go
2 all my peoples being persecuted
sending you strength, you are saluted
don’t care about your color
don’t care about your nationality
sending love 2 the Mother
We can B what we dream 2 B
We’ve got 2 see that we are all connected
We can’t go back so let’s leave behind – The dark ages of mankind
Hold on restless soldiers, We all face death every day
Hold on my lonley sisters, if your boys have gone away
Fear will only divide us, we got to feel the real love inside us
Don’t let nothing divide us, want you to feel the real love inside
love inside us, love inside us, love inside us
Buddha of Compassion
by blanelyon on Mar.10, 2009, under Lyrics+Poetry, Political Soul
where can you B
we need U here
2 help us B free
where there is war, bring peace
where there is bondage, bring us release
like Bob said , “we don’t need, no more trouble”
as U can see, life is fragile
as U can see, this world is fragile
can we agree ,
we’re in some trouble
Buddha of Compassion
where can you B
we need U here
2 help us B free
where there is war, bring peace
where there is bondage, bring us release
some think that it makes more sense 2 try to arm oneself
than 2 try 2 understand, somebody else
the sorrow of 1 , is the sorrow of all
we’ve come so far, but we R still learning 2 crawl
think of all the life , swimming in polluted seas
& the animals, that have no more trees
now they want to project deafning
sound, on all ocean kind
humanity must be out of it’s mind
Buddha of Compassion
where can you B
we need U here
2 help us B free
where there is war, bring peace
where there is bondage, bring us release
Too many of our people living in a cage
so many Brothers and Sisters living in rage
and when I look at the situation, everyday I’m amazed
how long is this gonna go in before we can change?
corporations & people with no respect for the earth
judging eachother by the color & place of one’s birth
so many heart’s, caught in a deep freeze
so many people forced 2 live on their knees
how we long for a way out of this maze
of the madness of man in armagedon days
some rulers, bring no justice
they preach democracy
but practice just the opposite
some teachings, only divide
try 2 cover up the real truth inside:
what U do 2 somebody else
U do, 2 yourself
too many of our people living in a cage
so many of our brothers and sisters walking in a rage
looking at the situation I’m amazed
how long is this gonna go on before we can change
with Compassion
So we can B right here right now
so we can be free
what is ill make life
What is wrong make right

They come 2 terrorize
by blanelyon on Mar.10, 2009, under Lyrics+Poetry, Political Soul
They come 2 terrorize
& they say it’s 2 protect U
but the things they do
there’s no love
The leaders in America, I know that they R scaring ya
cus they want 2 rule the world
they can’t feel no love
they ceate a climate of injustice
in witch they can confuse us
Terrorism is the illusion
under which they abuse us
oh, oh
what a bad bad way 2 go
keeping the poeple in fear
but the time grows near
when all that darkness
will B stripped away
evil man come , 2 rule babylon
evil man want 2 rule everyone
oh jahmai getem. Living in babalyon
leaders in America, creating mass hysteria, invading many areas,
I know that they R scaring ya
t he corporate media is a weapon,
of mass distraction
stiffiling the ligitimate action
mass seduction of the public attention
america face your reflection

Substitute terrorist 4 communist
substitute terrorist 4 drugdealer
can’t U see it’s just a system
meant 2 keep u scared
meant 2 keep us divided & keep our minds in bondage
it’s harder 2 break out
when U can’t see your prison
& thats how they got us living
U think that u got freedom?
Political Soul

Let the mighty voice be heard of the Rebel Lion
come to mash down the systems of greed
dispel with the light the wickedeness of man
and strengthen the spines in need
what are we doing
in the face of injustice
how can we make our dreams come true
of universal human rights and respect for all religions too, oh god
Rebel Lion, I say roar
for the prisoners who need release
rebel lion I say roar
roar and change the beast
The Lion comes and is a warrior for the mother
for those under pressure, being pushed down under
by the boot of oppression and man’s greedy nature
it’s enough to make you wanta fight cus you hate the
minds that ever spawned a system so twisted
that eats it’s own children and puts them in prisons
that would hide the truth of it’s peoples potential
by keeping them chasing after gold metal
know inside it is power we bring
bear witness
to the return of the King
channel the rage, realize the power
fill them with sweetness, those whose minds have turned sour
raise your voice in the final hour
Lion let me hear you sing
Rebel lion , I say roar
Hear it in the ghettos
hear it in the cities
hear it in the children
hear it in the hearts and minds of my people who won’t take this no longer
because
I can’t take no more
I want Justice for my people
cus I can’t take no more
I want clean water for my people
cus I can’t take no more
they stole the land from my people
I can’t take no more
stop the killing of my people
Roar

Let the mighty voice be heard of the Rebel Lion
come to mash down the systems of greed
dispel with the light the wickedeness of man

what are we doing

Butterfly
by blanelyon on Mar.10, 2009, under Lyrics+Poetry, Political Soul
There is a poor man in the cage in the back
all he did was take a hit of crack
why is he living like that
why is he treated like that
because he is poor
we all got something to live for
fly on Butterfly
fly on Butterfly
There is a woman
laying cold in the street
take her hand and give a little heat
why is she living like that
why is she treated like that
because she is poor
we all got something to live for
fly on Butterfly
fly on Butterfly
Why do we have so many of our own people living in bondage
Why do people punish each-other when they could be spreading love and knowledge
Why, so many people got to die
why, so many people got to cry
to give birth to a butterfly
The dreams that you have inside they can be realized
change comes from the inside
change comes from the inside
The thoughts that you have inside
they can be realized
change comes from the inside
change comes from the inside
Metamorphosis
There is a child, in the shadow of the city
raised on similack
that needs the real titty
a baby girl in the middle of the street
like a flower with the power that broke up through the concrete
rise to the struggle that is yours
stand up to the man saying “No more wars!”
Power to the People
changes many things
now boom the cocoon and burst forth with wings
fly on Butterfly
the power to move the power to question
the power to fly, in any direction
Fly on Butterfly
